Instead of looking for hidden words, you have to arrange words into groups. There are up to 16 words and you have to find the common thread between them and arrange them into four groups of four words each. “Connections is a daily game of finding common threads between words. Players must select four groups of four words without making more than four mistakes.“The NYT claims. These sets are divided into four categories based on difficulty – yellow, green, blue and purple. Purple is the hardest.

1. Common themes or trends, keywords can show the connections between these words. Some words may have no connection at all, but look for the common thread anyway.
