Kim Kardashian trusts “certain photographers” to use her select glamour teams for everything that is not related to working for her own brand.
The Skims founder likes to let creatives create “a different version” of her when she models for magazines and other brands, but when she works for her own companies, she likes to work with her personal makeup team because she likes to keep it authentic.
In a video interview for Vogue, she said: “There are certain photographers that I just know I’m going to absolutely love.
And then there are certain photographers that I don’t necessarily need my special glamour team for because I always trust the photographers and let them use the team that they feel comfortable with because I want a different version of myself.
When I shoot a Skin Beauty or Skims campaign, it’s for me and it’s me.
So I want my team.
But if I only photograph for one photographer for one project,
I don’t hire the photographer and I don’t put the whole thing together for one of my brands.
I want to see what they want from me and I want to see something different.
And even if I don’t really like it and I don’t feel comfortable with my point of view, I know it will resonate with someone and that someone will want to see a different side of me.”
