The Florida State University football team played its first overseas game in Ireland against Georgia Tech.
I’m Kenya Cardonne from the College Town neighborhood, watching the FSU community come together to cheer them on and experience history closer to home.

The FSU Student Union was packed on Saturday as hundreds of FSU community members gathered to watch their football team’s first international game in Ireland against Georgia Tech.

Rayln Dawkins, student – ​​“As this is our first international game between multiple countries, I think it is important to bring football to another country.”

Raylen Dawkins joined the wave of support that was so strong it was even felt abroad.

Even though he lost the game, he tells me that the spirit of a Nole brings unconditional support.

Dawkins – “Very relaxed atmosphere, great energy. I’m just rooting for the team from afar until they come home next weekend to play Boston College.”
