Trump does not want to debate with Kamala Harris

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins said the comedian and political expert Bill Maher this former president Donald Trump is “nervous” before the debate with the Vice President Kamala Harris – and Trump sources say he is “wrestling” with how to “fight” them.

In the Friday night edition of HBO’s Real Time with Bill MaherCollins was Maher’s interview guest, while her fellow panelists were longtime Democratic strategist James Carville and GOP Congressman Daniel Crenshaw (R-TX).

They all appeared in the after-show segment “Overtime,” in which Carville raised the possibility of another “train disaster” debate – and Collins joined in with her in-depth reporting:

JAMES CARVILLE: And I think we can do it. I think the debate on September 10th is going to be so consequential and have an audience that we won’t believe. Because what does America love? A train wreck. And they had one on June 27th and they want another train wreck.

REP. DAN CRENSHAW: We agree.

BILL MAHER: Are you having this debate?

KAITLAN COLLINS: It’s the ABC debate.

BILL MAHER: ABC debate.

KAITLAN COLLINS: If it happens. I still think it’s an open question whether it happens or not.

BILL MAHER: Really.

JAMES CARVILLE: Trump will go, he has to.

BILL MAHER: Do you think Trump will drop out?

KAITLAN COLLINS: I think Trump is nervous about it. I’ve spoken to a lot of sources close to him. I think he’s really struggling with it. It’s not just a narrative or a talking point from the Democrats.

He’s really struggled with how to fight it. And I don’t think he really wants to have that debate.

I think it’s difficult, if not impossible, for him to drop out because his campaign manager printed cards that said “anywhere, anytime, any place” for President Biden. And that would look weak. But I don’t think he’s looking forward to it right now.
