Aaron Judge is unstoppable.
The New York Yankees slugger continued his dominant season at the plate, hitting his 50th home run of the year in Sunday’s game against the Colorado Rockies.
In the second half of the first inning, Judge hit a two-run blast that flew 431 feet off Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber.
The six-time All-Star is still on an extremely hot streak at bat, as he entered Sunday’s games with five home runs in his last five games.
Against Colorado, however, he was not finished yet and hit his second home run of the day in the bottom of the seventh inning to extend New York’s lead to 6-3.
Judge hit 50 home runs in a season for the third time in his career, having reached that milestone in 2017 and 2022. He joins Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Alex Rodriguez as the only players with at least three 50-home run seasons (h/t USA Today’s (Bob Nightingale).
The 32-year-old was also the first player in MLB history to record 50 home runs, 120 RBIs and 100 walks before the beginning of September.
Fans were thrilled with his historic season following his recent performance.

Judge gives himself a great chance to receive the second American League MVP award of his career as he is now hitting .333 with 30 doubles and 121 RBIs, in addition to his 50 home runs. His impressive OPS of 1.195 is also the Top marks in the main subjects.
After becoming the fastest player in MLB history to reach 300 career home runs on August 14, Judge continued to showcase his hitting power and now looks to help the Yankees maintain their narrow lead over the Baltimore Orioles at the top of the AL East.
