Mark Pope, basketball player from Kentucky, is making a social contribution by helping to build houses

What can we expect from Mark Pope’s offense?

The Kentucky men’s basketball team is back on campus this week for the start of the fall semester. Before classes begin, Markus Pope has sent his team on the road after the end of summer training. The Wildcats are not exactly participating in basketball activities

All weekend, Kentucky was on a team retreat that included community service. On Sunday, Kentucky’s X-Account showed what the team did that weekend.

Pope and his team help build the house and sign their names and write Bible verses and inspirational messages on the frame. In the photos, the players and coaches are seen wearing “Kentucky’s Team” T-shirts and we even see Pope wearing construction goggles.

All of the work outside of the basketball building is part of the team-building process for a new team of 12 new scholarship athletes. Pope and his coaching staff are trying to enhance the relationship-building process for all of the program’s new participants while also using their platform to help others in need.

Would you let the Kentucky basketball team build your house? I would, as long as they stayed away from the bricks.
