Nothing Bundt Cakes owners Glenn and Rhonda Rogers are expanding their presence in Anne Arundel County with the opening of a third Nothing Bundt Cakes location in Severna Park. The new bakery will be located in the Park Plaza at 550 Ritchie Highway and will join existing locations in Annapolis and Gambrills. The Texas-based chain, known as the largest specialty cake maker in the country, operates more than 600 bakeries across the United States and Canada.
New location to open in November
The Rogers have secured a 2,600-square-foot space in Park Plaza and plan to open in November. The lease was brokered by Dominique Threatt of Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) on behalf of the landlord, while Matt Stanislawski of The Retail Strategy represented the Rogers. The new store will hire approximately 25 employees.
A proven concept in a thriving shopping center
“We investigated numerous locations in the Glen Burnie and Severna Park area and it was clear that Park Plaza consistently generates a lot of customer traffic,” said Glenn Rogers. “We live in nearby Arnold and have found that customers visit the center for a variety of reasons. With a new grocery store opening soon, this location presents a great opportunity to serve the local community.”
Park Plaza, a 17,000-square-foot shopping center, is operated by Planet Fitness and Five Below and features 55 tenants, including a mix of dining options, medical services and retail stores. The center, which is passed by over 52,000 vehicles daily on Ritchie Highway, will soon welcome MOM’s Organic Market, which has signed a lease for nearly 12,000 square feet and plans to open later this year. The addition of Nothing Bundt Cakes brings Park Plaza’s occupancy rate to around 93 percent.
