Black Stars striker Osman Bukari scored his first goal in Major League Soccer to help Austin FC win their match against Nashville SC.
The Ghanaian international, who joined the American soccer club in June, had to wait for his second MLS appearance to open his account for the Texas-based club.
The Designated Player had already made two appearances in the League Cup, but his goal against Nashville keeps Austin’s play-off hopes alive.

In a video shared on social media, Bukari broke free from the center circle, left his marker and goalkeeper behind and then scored Austin’s second goal.
Jon Gallagher opened the scoring for the visitors shortly after Hany Mukhtar missed the chance to give Nashville the lead from the penalty spot.
The win puts Austin FC in ninth place in the Western Conference table and is only three points behind FC Dallas in the fight for a play-off spot.
Bukari joined from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade and is expected to play a central role in the club’s season.

After scoring his first goal for the club, the 25-year-old believes this will be the start of next May.

After the game, he posted on social media: “The first of many goals to come. I’m really happy with this hard-fought goal. Thanks to the fans for the love and support so far. Alhamdullilah for everything!”
Bukari has played four times for Austin FC in all competitions this season.
Bukari makes MLS debut for Austin FC
Earlier, Yen.com.gh reported that Black Stars striker Osman Bukari made his long-awaited Major League Soccer debut after appearing in Austin FC’s match against Charlotte FC.
The Ghanaian international joined the Verdes in June but had to wait until after the World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic before he could fly to the USA.
After landing in Texas, he received a special welcome and spent nearly two weeks preparing for his first performance.
