Money raised and music played! Albertsons Boise Open raises  million.

BOISE, IDAHO – Fans flocked to the Albertsons Boise Open Concert Hall on Saturday night for the Goo Goo Dolls concert.

  • Ticket sales raised $3 million, which will be donated to charity.
  • Numerous fans flocked to the venue to see the legendary 90s rock band.
  • The Goo Goo Dolls will give their second and final concert of the week after the show was cancelled on Friday.

Night three of the Albertsons Boise Open and once again fans filled the 18th fairway for the second concert of the week. I’m your local reporter Alexander Huddleston and after the cancellation of Friday night’s show, people were looking forward to a performance by the Goo Goo Dolls.

As fans entered the venue, organizers and sponsors announced that ticket sales from the concerts had raised three million dollars for charity.

But as exciting as that is, fans were just as excited to see the Goo Goo Dolls on stage.

One fan said: “I love them, I grew up with them, they are honestly one of my favorite artists of all time.”

“There’s golf in the afternoon and then we can end the day with a good concert,” shrugged another.

One long-time fan explained, “My twin brother and I saw them when we were 18. There were about 200 people at the Whiskey a Go Go. It’s a really cool feeling to be here and see them again 33 years later.”

“I’m so excited, the Goo Goo Dolls are literally my absolute favorite band,” smiled one fan in front of the crowd.

The other added: “Ready to see John Rzeznik absolutely rock the guitar.”

“I’m so excited to see her. I loved her back in the ’90s when I was a teenager and I’m just so excited to see her here,” said one of her birthday fans.

Another fan said: “They are my favorite band. I like golf but the Goo Goo Dolls are definitely in there.”

His friend added: “I’ve been listening to them since the Warner studio album. Lost, Indestructible, the live version of Naked.”
