Afriwood The comic aims to inspire young readers with the themes of strength, bravery and fortitude in his new comic series entitled “Urenna Amadi: The Incredible Shutter-Bird”.
The first five chapters of the series are scheduled to appear in September, with a print edition to follow in November.
The series introduces Shutter-Bird – a young heroine named Urenna – who uses her extraordinary powers to help her community. Through imaginative storytelling and vivid illustrations, Urenna’s journey highlights her courage and self-acceptance as she faces challenges without bowing to societal judgment.
In a statement to Sunday ScoopAfriwood Comics stated that it aims to change the comics landscape by highlighting diverse African stories that celebrate the strengths of African culture.
The comic features a distinctive illustration style and color palette that not only captivates the mind but also soothes the soul and improves concentration. This approach is designed to ease anxiety and deepen the reader’s connection to the narrative.
