What is a fire nado?
A “fire nado” is a whirlwind caused by a fire, often consisting (at least in part) of flames or ash. These begin with a wind vortex, often visible through smoke, and can occur when intense rising heat and turbulent wind conditions combine to form swirling vortices of air. These vortices can contract into a tornado-like vortex that draws in debris and flammable gases.
