Do older Pixel Watch bands work with the Pixel Watch 3?

So what’s the verdict on band compatibility with the Pixel Watch 3? The good news is that most of the 41mm bands from the Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2 will fit the new 41mm Pixel Watch 3 without a problem. There is one small caveat, however: the Metal Mesh and Metal Slim bands only fit the Pixel Watch 2 and 3.

If you’re considering the 45mm Pixel Watch 3, you’re unfortunately out of luck when it comes to band compatibility. Due to its larger size and band attachment mechanism, it’s not compatible with bands from previous generations. That might be a bit of a disappointment for some, but I’m glad Google offers the larger size option, even if it means you’ll have to invest in new bands when you upgrade.
