The breakdown of Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague’s relationship has severely rocked her personal life, but it has been reported that it has also affected her professional life.
The influencer announced on August 14 that she and her boyfriend of five years, Tommy, have split up, just over a year after their engagement.
The separation comes at a very inopportune time for the professional boxer, as only a few weeks earlier he is said to have signed a “lucrative six-figure contract” for a tell-all book about his life with Molly-Mae.
Tommy’s memoir, Lightning Does Strike Twice: My Life As A Fury, was written before their split and is forthcoming. It is expected to hit stores in October.
It is said to include chapters about his romance with Molly-Mae, who he met on Love Island in 2019. However, the future of Tommy’s memoir has been thrown into question as pre-order prices on Amazon have been slashed by half, from €30 to €15.
However, there are reportedly hopes that the late addition of a chapter detailing his separation from Molly-Mae could save the project.
A synopsis of the upcoming autobiography states: “It reveals what life is like as he juggles his many identities: boxing champion, television star, mental health advocate, fiancé and father.”
One thing is certain: Tommy’s “Lightning Does Strike Twice: My Life As A Fury” cannot compete with his ex-fiancée’s memoir (bestseller, 2022) “Becoming Molly-Mae: My Story”.
When Molly-Mae announced her split from Tommy on August 14, she wrote: “Never in my life did I think I would have to write this. After five years together, I never thought our story would end, especially not in this way.”

“I am extremely saddened to announce that my relationship with Tommy has come to an end. I will forever be grateful for what is most important to me now and in the future: my beautiful daughter. Without us she would not be here, she will always be my priority,” Molly-Mae continued.
“I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been part of our journey and I feel it is right to share this with you all.”

Tommy was reportedly taken aback by his former fiancée’s announcement and released a statement shortly afterwards, saying: “It breaks my heart to announce that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship.”
“The last five years have resulted in us having our beautiful little daughter Bambi and I will be forever grateful to Molly for making me a father. Bambi is our number one priority.”
“Please respect our privacy and the privacy of our family as we go through this difficult time,” he concluded.
