note

Prioritize magazine capacity, critical stats, weapon damage and reload speed

This build aims to cram as many raw weapon damage improvements as possible into the MG4 Predator via mods, armor pieces and weapon effects like Fortress Warfare. Players often receive Double weapon damage on the MG4 Predator by simply shooting enemies, essentially turning every hit into a critical hit that can also critically hit. This is a good base for a Fast Gunner build as it provides reliable DPS against all enemies while being very flexible in terms of armor, mods, and secondary weapon choice.

Primary weapon

Description of the MG4 Predator in Once Human

The MG4 Predator has the following features:

  • 40% chance to trigger Quick Shooter when hitting an enemy.
  • The upper half of the magazine deals 40% more weapon damage.
  • When Fast Gunner stacks reach multiples of 5, you gain infinite ammo for 0.5 seconds.
  • Hitting the same target consecutively increases your weapon damage against that target by up to 40%.

Weapon calibration plans in Once human can drastically affect the performance of a weapon. For this build we will use the Quick-fire style (preferably with double crit stats) to increase our rate of fire by up to 15%. However, this reduces the already poor accuracy of the MG4. To compensate for this, use the following weapon accessories:

  • Hammer compensator: +9 accuracy, +19 stability
  • Compact reflex sight: 2.0x zoom, +12 stability, +10% aiming speed
  • Cobra Grip: +20 Accuracy
  • Magazine: Large LMG drum magazine

Secondary weapon

The recurve crossbow in Once Human

If you play alone, the recurve crossbow in Once human is probably the best option you have. It not only applies the Bull’s Eye to weak spot hits, but it also increases your critical hit rate against enemies marked by the crossbow itselfHowever, if you are playing with a group and someone also has a way to use the bullseye, We recommend using the S870 Sandstorm insteadbecause it deploys a Fortress Warfare field simply by switching to the weapon.

Players who really want to shoot further can choose to use another machine gun instead of the previous two. The MG4 Wrath of Hades will refill your other weapon with a bullet every time it triggers Fast Gunner. Once the MG4 Predator runs out of bullets, switch to it and fire until your magazine is empty. Then switch back to your Predator. Alternatively, you can just get another Predator.

Armor set

Description of the Bastille set in Once Human

The 3-piece Bastille set gives players a 40% weapon damage buff when they are crouching still And an additional 10% weapon damage when above 70% HP. It’s free damage that can be triggered very easily. The caveat here is that you probably won’t be able to take advantage of this 50% buff all the time, as the game punishes stationary playstyles. Still, you can get such a large damage bonus in DPS windows when bosses are stunned or distracted.

If you don’t like the Bastille set, get the Lonewolf set in Once human for the Crit stats added. You can even use the Renegade set if you want Build for Vulnerability DMG. However, keep in mind that not all enemies have weak spots, and some have weak spots that are difficult to hit. Stacking critical hits is a more convenient way to deal damage, while stacking weak spot damage is often much more powerful, but can be harder to put into practice depending on what you’re fighting.

Oasis vs. Dust Mask

Description of the dust mask in Once Human

The Oasis Mask increases the maximum number of Fast Gunner stacks you can have by 10and it increases each stack’s attack damage buff from 1% to 2%. This means that with a gold Blitzkrieg mod, you can have a total of 20 Fast Gunner stacks, which is +40% bonus damage and fire rate. Use this if you want to deal as much damage as possible in a short period of time.

In the meantime, With the Dust Mask you have a 50% chance to automatically reload 1 bullet into your magazine every time you trigger Fast Gunner. This won’t increase your DPS, but it will allow you to hold the trigger longer, resulting in more damage per magazine and less overall DPS downtime. Since the MG4 Predator does more damage with the top half of its magazine, this mask will allow you to enjoy this buff for longer.

Once Human Fast Gunner Build Mods

Covered advance

After not taking damage for 4 seconds, you gain +20% melee, weapon, and status damage for 30 seconds.

At the time of writing, Final Territory may be bugged as it doesn’t seem to grant any bonus stats after the end of Fortress Warfare.

All of these mods should be self-explanatory. They are all there to increase your damage. However, there are a few parts here that require explanation.

The build uses Dynamics increase over Fateful Strike and Precision Rush, as the MG4 Predator has a unique trait that causes it to do more damage with the top half of its magazine. Momentum Up’s +10% rate of fire buff lets you shred enemies faster with this damage buff in the top half. It also reduces the damage loss you take when the Predator’s ammo drops below half.

If you don’t have a golden shoot out, then Blitz shooting is a good alternative. You will take 5% less damage, but if you can get one with good traits like bonus crit or weapon damage, you should use that instead of a purple Shoot Out mod.

It’s worth reiterating that while weak spot damage from mods like Precise Strike grants better DPS, it’s often better to opt for crit values for convenience, especially since LMGs are inaccurate by default. Consider weak spot damage a nice bonus in this build, rather than something you absolutely have to build around (though that’s totally doable too).
