Actor Sidharth Malhotra is reportedly set to be a part of Race 4. According to Pinkvilla, Sidharth has shown interest in the fourth installment of the franchise and is in talks with producer Ramesh Taurani. Saif Ali Khan will also reportedly star in the film. Will Sidharth is the star in Race 4
Pinkvilla cited its source and reported, “While Ramesh Taurani has a team of in-house writers to develop the basic storyline of Race 4, he has outsourced it to some of the most experienced writers and directors to develop it into a script. While the writing work is on, he has started talks with Sidharth Malhotra to play the lead actor in Race 4 opposite Saif Ali Khan. Sid is a huge fan of the Race franchise and is interested in acting in the film.”
“Staying true to the world of this franchise, the Race franchise will be rebooted with a face-off between Saif and Sid. It is a pure two-hero film, with both the characters having shades of grey,” the source added.
About the Race Franchise
Recently, Ramesh Taurani had said that the script for the fourth installment of the action crime series Race is ready. The first two Race films were directed by Abbas-Mustan and starred Saif Ali Khan. Akshaye Khanna and John Abraham played the role of the villain in the first and second installments respectively.
The third part was directed by Remo D’Souza and Salman Khan played the lead role while Bobby Deol played the antagonist. Race was produced by Tips Films and released in 2008. Its success led to the 2013 sequel. The third part, released in 2018, was a good box office hit despite negative reviews.
What Ramesh Taurani said recently
“The script of the next part of Race is ready, we will announce the cast of the film soon. The cast will be new. I cannot say whether Salman Khan will be part of it or not. The film will release by the end of the year. It is not yet decided who will direct it,” Ramesh told news agency PTI in an interview in June.
Sidharth’s last film
Sidharth was last seen in Yodha alongside Disha Patani and Rashii Khanna. The film was a good box office success and earned Siddharth a lot of praise for his performance. The film was directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha and was released in March 2024.
