Dennis Quaid would like to make a sequel to A twin rarely comes alone — But there’s a tragic reason he believes it will never happen.
When speaking with Entertainment tonight at the premiere of his upcoming film Reagan On Tuesday, August 20, the 70-year-old actor was interviewed in Los Angeles about a possible sequel to the popular comedy.
“That would be fantastic, but Natasha. How do we do that without Natasha?” he replied, pointing to his A twin rarely comes alone Co-star Natasha Richardson, who died in 2009 at the age of 45 from blunt trauma in a skiing accident.
Quaid added that her death still breaks his heart.
In the 1998 remake The twin trap, Quaid and Richardson played the parents of Lindsay Lohan’s characters Hallie and Annie Parker.
On Tuesday, Quaid also spoke about watching Lohan, now 38, grow up over the years.
He called his former screen daughter “fantastic” and said she had “grown up into a beautiful person.”

Quaid continued to speculate about another film, saying “you never know” whether Hollywood would actually make a sequel in which his character leaves a vineyard to his daughters.
However, he is convinced that the 1998 remake of the classic 1961 body-swap original has a strong impact of its own.
“The Twin Trap was like a whole new career for me. It’s close to my heart. It’s such a beautiful film,” he said. “And I think people will be watching it 100 years from now, I really do.”
