Friends of the Children – He Sapa ensures that children have role models who instill in them the Lakota values of strength, wisdom, courage, generosity, honor, respect and humility. As the country’s first and only long-term professional mentoring program, Friends of the Children puts children at the center to help them overcome childhood adversities.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released a preliminary review of employment data showing that there were 818,000 fewer jobs in March 2024 than previously reported. The Labor Department initially reported 2.9 million new jobs between March 2023 and March 2024. This 30 percent reduction is the largest downward revision in 15 years. Two years after the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, We have seen how these measures have increased the prices of gas, food and electricity. Businesses are under the same pressures as families and the employment data shows these challenges.
It’s time for change. We must cut government spending, lower taxes, and eliminate unnecessary regulations from the Biden-Harris administration. I voted against $13 trillion in spending supported by President Biden and congressional Democrats. I’m working to cut spending and block Biden’s rules that are costly and unrealistic for our economy.

For nearly 35 years, the City of Madison has waited and worked toward connecting to the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System. In early August, the City completed the pipeline project connecting Madison to the system. I attended the grand opening of the newest L&CRWS connection along with Madison city leaders and Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds.
