In an interview with Nikhil Kamath, Kriti Sanon talked about her family background and how she Career decisions“I would definitely say I am privileged. I come from a middle-class family, but it’s not like I ever felt the need to work because I had to earn money. I have a joint account with my father. I have no idea how much money comes in and goes out,” Kriti said.
As an outsider in the Hindi film industry, Kriti expressed her desire to find peace and acceptance in Bollywood. She reflected on phases when she didn’t know what to do. She also said that her choice of films often depended on whether she was comfortable on the set or if she was simply “floating”.
Kriti further revealed that while she has been a part of big projects with star-studded casts, not all of them have been successful. Without mentioning any specific film titles, she mentioned that some of these projects lacked excitement.
Kriti, in a chat with Pinkvilla, once expressed her frustration over the lack of promising opportunities in her career. During this phase, she felt restless and believed that she had more potential beyond her on-screen roles. “I know I can do it; I know I can do it, but I don’t have it in my sights,” she said.

Kriti made her debut in 2014 with ‘Heropanti’ opposite Tiger Shroff. Her filmography includes notable titles like ‘Luka Chuppi’, ‘Raabta’, ‘Panipat’, ‘Bachchhan Paandey’, ‘Heropanti 2’, ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Shehzada’. She recently starred in ‘Crew’ alongside Kareena Kapoor and Tabu. Previously, she played the lead role opposite Shahid Kapoor in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’.
Now, Kriti is gearing up for her next film, Do Patti, in which she reunites with her Dilwale co-star Kajol. This project notably marks her debut as a producer, with her working with screenwriter Kanika Dhillon.
