Actress Jenna Ortega will return this season with new adventures as Wednesday Addams.

The sequel to Netflix’s hit series Wednesday has been in production since May 2024, with a number of exciting developments and several big names joining this time around. The previous season was a huge success for the streaming giant and boosted actress Jenna Ortega’s exposure, particularly in the horror genre. As the Netflix series prepares to return with more adventures and mysteries, Ortega has seemingly revealed what fans can expect. Speaking to the media, the actress shared that there will be “new villains, new supernatural abilities and an even darker tone.”

In May of this year, Netflix confirmed the start of production on the series with a picture of the entire cast. “Wednesday Season 2 is NOW IN PRODUCTION. Please send our cast a round of double snaps – now with Christopher Lloyd, Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Billie Piper!” the post read.

Additionally, another short teaser clip was shared, showing Wednesday’s trusty sidekick “Thing” delivering the scripts for season two. While these little details leave fans wanting more, here’s everything we know about Wednesday season 2 so far.

What can we expect in season 2 of Wednesday?

After the end of season one, Tyler’s fate is still unknown, but Wednesday also becomes suspicious of her boyfriend who turns villain. Additionally, Wednesday receives a text message from an unknown number that suggests she may have a new stalker. In addition to exploring these unanswered questions, season two will also reveal more about Wednesday’s mother, Morticia Addams, her powers, and other secrets in Jericho.

Wednesday Season 2: Cast

Percy Hynes White has officially left the series, particularly following sexual allegations against him. As Wednesday’s almost love interest, Hynes White was supposed to return this time around, but now the dynamic seems to have changed. Other returning cast members include Ortega, followed by her beloved Thing, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Isaac Ordonez, Fred Armisen, Gwendoline Christie, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday, to name a few.

There are also some new faces this time, including Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor and Thandiwe Newton.

When will season 2 of “Wednesday” be released?

While the official release date has yet to be confirmed, the premiere is expected sometime in 2025. The previous season was released in November 2022 and included a total of eight episodes.
