The marriage between Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood is a beautiful experience.
Trisha Yearwood recently received the ACM Honors Icon Award along with country music producer and manager Tony Brown. Garth Brooks then wrote a loving tribute on his website.
There he expresses his deep pride in her work. “I was just so proud. I’m always proud of her, but seeing and hearing her recognized like that – and hearing people use the word ‘icon’ in the same breath as her name – just took me to a new place,” Brooks writes. “She Is an icon. I know what a world-class talent and force she is, and we all know what an incredible singer she is. But I love it when other people really take notice of her too.”

Garth goes on to list Trisha’s many accomplishments throughout her illustrious career. For example, Yearwood has often been honored to sing duets and perform at major events such as the Olympics and the Oscars. In addition, she will perform in honor of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter in November 2023.
Additionally, Brooks emphasizes her ability to utilize her skills outside of the music world and pursue other interests such as her Food Network show. Trisha’s Southern Cuisine.
“Trisha shared things that meant everything to her – family and memories of her father, mother and sister – with the world like no one else did with her cookbooks and television show,” Garth continues. “She influenced our daughters by showing them by example that women can not only achieve anything they dream of, but can be the best at it. That’s iconic.”
Finally, in typical supportive husband fashion, Garth emphasizes that Trisha’s best work is still ahead of her. Whatever she wants to achieve is within her reach. “I think Trisha’s next iconic moments are yet to come.. And they are possibly their most iconic works to date,” he concludes.
