The Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture has discussed the creation of a broadcasting platform connecting Turkic-speaking regions and states. Azernews reports citing the ministry.

It was noted that, within the framework of promoting Azerbaijani culture, appropriate measures must be taken to support the development of creative areas, including promoting the country’s film potential and involving foreign specialists in the development of the local film industry.

The development of the local film industry involves supporting the dubbing infrastructure, creating new jobs and promoting business in this segment, which is the main priority for supporting the Azerbaijani language in the modern digital space. For this purpose, it is planned to implement special measures within the framework of the “Creative Azerbaijan” program.

This need is also set out in the “Regulation on the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 119 dated June 6, 2018, as well as in the relevant paragraph of the Action Plan of the “Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026”.

The implementation of this clause will primarily involve supporting the activities of market participants in the cultural and creative industries, improving the production base and promoting cluster formation in the individual sectors.

It was pointed out that within the framework of this activity, studies will be carried out on the establishment of a broadcasting platform to connect Turkic-speaking regions and states and a corresponding work plan will be drawn up.

To improve the platform and speed up the creation process, the strategy and business consultant of the “BBC-Maestro” project, Nina Laricheva, and the chairman of the organization ATA-Association of Turkic Animation, Oktay Yusibov, were involved in the project as specialists.

It was emphasized that the platform, which will be based on a monthly or annual subscription model, will include local and international content (synchronization).

In addition, it is planned to present high-quality and culturally interesting programs to the audience on the platform.
