Following the success of Phish’s coveted secret set at Mondegreen last weekend, the band posted the entire hour-long improvisation on YouTube. The 4K HDR recording of Friday night’s set captures the psychedelic projections from multiple angles. Just like at the show, fans online won’t be able to see the artists’ performances or any camera tricks, but will instead be looking at programmatically generated visuals.

True to their not-so-secret tradition of secret sets, the Friday night offering focused on the music of the sprawling impromptu jam session and accompanying visuals, rather than the famous musicians or their cult classics. Not quite as traditionally, however, Trey hinted at the possibility of an after-hours main stage appearance that would draw a much larger crowd than in years past and repeats. The set still surprised fans, however, as the ambient framework of years past transformed into an electric jam experience at the eleventh hour, or rather the twelfth minute, of the set.

In keeping with this democratic approach to secrecy, Friday night’s entire performance is now available to stream on the band’s YouTube channel, offering a well-rounded journey through the sensual production for fans who couldn’t make it to the original show in Dover, Delaware, or for visitors who want to relive the event.
