Utah’s Most Magical Train Ride

Utah’s Most Magical Train Ride

Except for transporting large goods, trains seem to be a thing of the past in the United States. However, there are a few companies that specialize in scenic rail rides, such as the one in Moab, Utah.

Rocky Mountaineer offers four routes to choose from and the one in UT is extremely scenic. For someone who generally hates driving to places, this could be the perfect option for a getaway. Driving takes all the fun out of it, but this way you get to move and see… AND get food served.

TThe Rockies to Red Rocks route is a two-day train ride from Moab, Utah, to Denver, Colorado. Passengers can see “vast canyons, awe-inspiring deserts, natural archways and enchanting hoodoos,” the website says. There are other highlights, including crossing the Continental Divide and Ruby Canyon.

The interior of the trains is quite luxurious and is designed to provide a relaxing experience. The windows are super large so you can look outside all day while kicking back in the lounge car. Rocky Mountaineer also has some outdoor seating.

When you book your train journey, you can choose between different options (similar to first class on an airplane): Silver and Goldleaf service. These differ in the meals and seating options. Hotels from Rocky Mountaineer partners are included in the price.

If a simple train ride is not enough for you, you can also choose customized packages for guided tours and sightseeing.

With all that is included in the train ride, you can expect this to be a little expensive, but it could be an absolutely unique weekend getaway. For more information, see https://www.rockymountaineer.com/
