Kings stars train together in new video

The Sacramento Kings can add a new weapon to Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox in the form of six-time NBA All-Star DeMar DeRozan.

It’s been over a month since DeRozan landed in Sacramento via a sign-and-trade deal with the Chicago Bulls. The 35-year-old is entering his 16th year in the NBA, but the seasoned veteran should be a big help to Mike Brown’s team.

A new video posted to social media shows DeRozan working with Sabonis on USC’s Los Angeles campus. The two were filmed working on dribble handoffs and building their chemistry before the 2024-25 season begins in October (via dribble2much | IG).

The trio of DeRozan, Fox, and Sabonis form a rare group of players who average 5+ assists on the same team. If each of them can bring their playmaking skills to the table, the Kings could be one of the more dangerous offensive teams to start the season.

Sabonis talked about the work he and his new teammate did after the game was over (via dribble2much | IG):

First practice with DeMar, you know. Flew to LA last night and will spend the week here with him, trying to learn our games and pick the spots we like.

The season is heating up and the Kings need to build as much camaraderie as possible before facing the Minnesota Timberwolves. Expectations are on the playoffs, especially after missing out last season.

The Kings open their season on October 24th at the Golden1 Center against the Timberwolves.
