Google is hosting its big event at its headquarters in Mountain View, California on Tuesday, August 13The event starts at 10:00am PT/1:00pm ET/6:00pm BST. Traditionally, Google opts for a fall release of its Pixel lineup, but this time it’s taking a different direction. It’s still focusing on Gemini AI as a focal point, and it’s also thinking about the role of Android. To emphasize this even further, the keynote will also be available on the Android YouTube channel to show Android live streaming the event.
Since the spring event was mostly about AI and software, we expect the Made by Google event to be more hardware-centric, where we’ll see some significant upgrades with the upcoming Pixel 9 lineup, including improvements to the camera configuration and a sleeker design. The Pixel phones are said to be powered by a Tensor G4 chipset, which is expected to bring new advancements and offer progressively improved performance.
