Yuki Tabata happens to be one of the people who was inspired by his work. The Black clover Mangaka has given his creation a dark side despite it being a shonen manga. In an interview with Le Point, Tabata said: “I wanted to make a manga like Berserk.”
He added: “Whether it’s the setting, the fights or the story, this series remains an important source of inspiration for me. I wanted a manga in that spirit, but in the Shonen style.” Berserker is especially famous for its dark narratives such as rape, sexual assault, child massacre, bloodshed, etc. Seinen manga are mainly for people over thirty. So Tabata could not create a shonen manga with such scenes.
A massive Berserker As a fan, he wanted to add some elements of Kentaro Miura’s creation. Berserker has creatures from the underworld, so he introduced elves and demons alongside humans. One of the demons massacred the elves and caused their leader to go mad. Guts carries a giant sword on his back and Yuki Tabata implements this idea by giving Asta a giant sword. He had to carefully add the elements without his editors knowing about it.
Black clover Manga has been resumed
Black clover The manga took a break in August 2023 with chapter 368. The manga moved from Weekly Shonen to Giga Jump and continued in December 2023. On August 7, 2024, chapters 372 and 373 were released. Currently, the manga is nearing its end with the final war between Lucius Zogratis and his army against the Magic Knights.
