Errands turn into a ,000 win for a Bel Air lottery player

BEL-AIR, MD – A normal Sunday afternoon of running errands led to a life-changing moment for a Maryland lottery player: He recently won $50,000 on a scratch-off ticket.

The winner, known by his childhood nickname “Snookie,” purchased the Lots of Cash scratch-off ticket at the Royal Farms store at 2692 Tobin Crossing in Bel Air on August 18. Snookie decided to scratch the ticket while he was still in the store and was surprised to see a message that said “See Lottery.” Not knowing what that meant, he asked the clerk to scan the ticket and was overjoyed to learn that he had won the game’s top prize of $50,000.

Snookie was overjoyed and said the timing of the win was perfect as he recently lost his grandfather. He plans to use the prize money to pay bills and fulfill his dream of buying a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The Royal Farms store that sold the winning ticket will also benefit, receiving a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery. The Lots of Cash game, which debuted in mid-June, still has five top prizes of $50,000 and numerous other prizes up for grabs.
