If you’re heading into town on the weekend and live in Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, Sober Ride Indiana offers a weekly discount coupon for Uber and Lyft.

The goal of this program is to help prevent drunk driving fatalities in Indiana.

Here’s what you need to know and how to use it.

What is Sober Ride Indiana?

Sober Ride Indiana was created by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute to help potentially intoxicated drivers get a safe ride home during holidays and high-risk events, according to the institute’s website.

The program currently only works if the trip begins or ends in Fort Wayne or Indianapolis.

How do I use a Sober Ride Indiana coupon?

The voucher is a $10 ride credit for Uber or Lyft, is valid for one day only and can be redeemed on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday of the week in which it is issued.

If your ride costs more than $10, you will be required to pay the remaining amount.

Credits can only be redeemed between 5pm and 3am. You cannot reserve a Sober Ride or schedule a pickup in advance. Rides are available while supplies last and reset each day.

Remember that the coupon is only valid for trips that start in Fort Wayne or Indianapolis or if your destination is one of these two cities.
