A doctor based in Pakistan posted a video showing a unique place where people from India and Pakistan can interact as the territories are separated by a river.

India and Pakistan are often viewed as rival countries by outsiders, but the reality on the ground tells a different story. A recent video shared by a doctor from Pakistan showcases the positive sides of both nations. Taking to Instagram, the Pakistani doctor posted a clip showing a unique place on the Line of Control (LOC) where people from both countries can interact as the area is only separated by a river. In the video, she explained numerous ways to communicate and build connections despite the physical barrier. The video shows a group of people on the Pakistani side of the border waving and using gestures to communicate with their Indian neighbors. Social media users filled the comments section with love and positive messages.

The video, shot in Keran Valley, begins with a woman pointing at the Indian flag across the border. She then shows creative ways to connect with people across the river, such as offering a hand, waving, making hearts with hands, inviting them to a game of cricket and sharing her love for Sidhu Moose Wala. She then jokingly adds that if all else fails, one should exchange phone numbers. Sharing the clip, the doctor wrote, “Ways to communicate with neighbors across the borders. The fun things to do at the border. Just PEACE.”

Reacting to the video, one user wrote: “Pakistanis are funny like them.”

Another said: “This is so funny and sweet. I hope people can return to their true human roots and not get sucked into political agendas designed to divide people.”

“Living in the US has shown me how kind Indian people are and that there is literally no hate there, just like there is no hate in our hearts. Similar people, food, culture and values. I love working with them, spending time with them and teaching Indian children,” said one comment.

Another wrote: “Divided by borders, united by Sidhu Moose Wala.”

Someone commented: “I’m so glad this reverse engineering has started on Instagram to eliminate the hate and bring back love and humanity.”

Another added: “This is the beauty of humanity.”

Since the Pakistani woman shared the video on Instagram, it has been viewed over 1.8 million times.
