Towards the end of the four-hour ceremony, the Oscar nominee was spotted on the roof of the Stade de France, where he jumped 50 metres to collect the Olympic flag on behalf of Los Angeles, where the next Games are scheduled to take place in 2028.
After receiving the flag from LA Mayor Karen Bass and greeting Olympian Simon Biles in typical Mission: Impossible style, it only made sense for Tom to then make his way through the crowd of excited athletes, jump on a motorcycle and then leave the stadium.
The action then switched to a recorded sequence of Tom riding his bicycle on board an airplane and then jumping out of the plane in his third major stunt of the clip.
After the flag landed in California, it was carried through the streets of LA.

After Tom handed over the flag to various iconic Olympic athletes who ran with it through Los Angeles, the ceremony ended with live performances by several artists originally from California, including Snoop DoggThe Red hot chili peppers And Billie Eilish.
