Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will be known as Mr. Vice President if Kamala Harris wins the election in November.
But before he entered the political arena, he was Mr. Walz in the classroom.
And Coach Walz on the field.
Before becoming a congressman and then governor of Minnesota, Walz was a teacher and coach at Alliance High School in Nebraska and Mankato West High School in the North Star State.
It seems he has mastered it brilliantly.
“I have taught for 36 years and have met few coaches as good as him,” former Alliance High School coach Jeff Tomiln said in an article in The Athletic last week.

Walz initially coached football and girls basketball at Alliance High School in Nebraska. He and his wife Gwen moved to Minnesota (their home state) in 1996. Walz taught social studies and was the defensive coordinator for the Mankato West High School football team.
