BJP leaders urge cadres to ensure registration of as many members as possible

BJP national secretary Arvind Menon, state affairs in-charge Sidharth Nath Singh and state president and Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari urged the cadres to strive to induct as many members as possible to strengthen the party and thus enable it to achieve its objectives under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking as the guest of honour at a meeting held here on Wednesday as part of the upcoming membership drive, Mr Menon said the BJP had already emerged as the largest political party in the world and needed to be made even stronger. He highlighted the achievements of the BJP over the last decade.

“No other party could have abrogated Article 370 and done other things that the BJP has achieved with iron determination in the national interest,” Sidharth Nath Singh remarked.

Ms Purandeswari said that Mr Modi would join on September 1 and reiterated that the party aims at the development of the nation and the welfare of the people based on the principles promulgated by its founders.

She stressed that the BJP has become a force to be reckoned with by drawing strength from its members, who should continue to form the backbone of the party to provide the necessary support to Modi in his quest to make India a developed nation.

Union Minister Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, MP CM Ramesh, former chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, MLAs P. Vishnu Kumar Raju, C. Adinarayana Reddy, Kamineni Srinivas, YS Chowdary, PV Parthasarathi, N. Eswara Rao and Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy, party members National Executive Member Somu Veerraju and State Representative in-charge of membership drive S. Dayakar Reddy were among those present.
