‘Brilliant Minds’ and ‘St. Denis Medical’: What you should know about NBC’s new medical drama and comedy series

NBC is releasing two new scripted medical series this fall – a comedy and a drama.

If you’re interested in healthcare with a touch of comedy, then get ready for the medical mockumentary series. St. Denis Medical.

Here is the logline: The mockumentary is about an underfunded and understaffed hospital in Oregon where the dedicated doctors and nurses do their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity.

Starring Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and Kaliko Kauah. The show was created and executive produced by Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin. They are joined by Simon Heuer, who also serves as executive producer. Ruben Fleischer directed the pilot episode.

The series premieres on Tuesdays at 8pm on November 12th. Watch the trailer below:

Brilliant mindsstarring Zachary Quinto and Tamberla Perry, will also air this fall.

The premiere of the show will take place on September 23rd at 10 p.m.

Michael Grassi serves as showrunner and also as executive producer.

Here is the description:

Inspired by real-life British neurologist and author Oliver Sacks, Zachary Quinto and a team of interns take viewers on a journey to reveal the complexity of the human brain, showcasing unconventional methods and a drive to heal patients while overcoming their own personal challenges and mental health issues.

The series also stars Perry as Dr. Carol Pierce, Teddy Sears as Dr. Josh Nichols, Ashleigh LaThrop as Dr. Ericka Kinney, Alex MacNicholl as Dr. Van Markus, Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf, Spence Moore II as Dr. Jacob Nash and Aury Krebs as Dr. Dana Dang.
