Although the 2024 US Open tournament does not officially begin until next week, on August 26, qualifying matches for the event at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center are currently in full swing.
In total, 128 men and 128 women are competing for the chance to take part in the final Grand Slam competition. There are 16 spots up for grabs, so there’s quite a lot at stake.
Given the high level of tennis being played there, we recommend you take the time to head to the stadium to watch some of these matches. As part of US Open Fan Week, entry is completely free.

When are the US Open qualifiers?
The US Open qualifying matches began last Monday, August 19th and will last until tomorrow, Thursday, August 22nd.

The tournament will take place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, the same stadium that will host the Grand Slam competition from August 26 to September 8.
Where can you watch the US Open qualifiers?
Believe it or not, you can actually go to the Queens Tennis Center to watch all of the qualifying matches for free. The events are part of US Open Fan Week, which features a variety of other free events.
