Catherine did not wear makeup on her rowing team

In April 2007, Catherine, Princess of Wales joined the Sisterhood, an all-women rowing team. The women’s team trained on the River Thames in preparation for a cross-Channel race against an all-male team called the Brotherhood. The competition was for charity, and Catherine was widely photographed during training, both on land and on the boat where she helmed the oars. Unfortunately, the late Queen Elizabeth II found the media hype surrounding Catherine’s involvement with the Sisterhood to be too chaotic, and Catherine had to pull out of the actual race. Despite this, we do have some beautiful photos of Catherine without makeup when she was with the team. After all, the activity was so athletically demanding that it makes sense that she kept her look simple and sporty.
