As Travis Kelce prepares to play his 12th NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs, he is also busy securing a job off the football field.

In the Tuesday episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (starts at 1:00), Adam Sandler revealed that Kelce is “part” of the upcoming Happy Gilmore Consequence.

Netflix announced in May that it had greenlit a sequel to the 1996 golf comedy. Sandler told Fallon that they are preparing to begin production in New Jersey in a few weeks.

A Happy Gilmore The sequel has been teased by Sandler for several years. There were rumors that Kelce would be part of the new film when he was in Los Angeles with a Happy Gilmore Hat.

It is quite common for athletes and celebrities to have supporting roles and cameo appearances in Sandler films. The original Happy Gilmore with Lee Trevino, Verne Lundquist and Bob Barker. Lawrence Taylor, Michael Irvin, Bill Goldberg, Steve Austin, Kevin Nash and Dan Marino have all appeared in various Sandler productions.

Kelce showed his acting and comedic skills as host of Saturday Night Live in March 2023. He will make his television debut in the upcoming Ryan Murphy series grotesque which premieres on FX on September 25th.

On Tuesday, it was announced that Kelce will make his feature film debut in the action comedy Unpredictable cannons. He will also host the game show Are you smarter than a star? for the premiere on Amazon on October 16th.
