The Social Security Administration announced that beneficiaries eligible for Old Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (RSDI) will receive a new Payment of social security today. However, it is important to note that to be eligible for this benefit, retirees, survivors and disabled people must have applied for benefits after May 1997; their date of birth should be between the 11th and 20th and they must meet certain requirements, including reaching full retirement age, having an adequate work history, contributing to the system while working and providing medical records, especially for those applying for Social Security Disability benefits (SSDI).

Workers who have contributed to the system are entitled to early retirement pension at the age of 62. Social security system for at least 10 years. Alternatively, these payments can be taken at full retirement age of 67, or they can be deferred until age 70. To qualify for disability benefits, recipients must first prove that they are disabled or blind and have a disability that limits their ability to work for at least one year or that they are at risk of death. In addition to the inability to work, substantial gainful activity (SGA)applicants must have worked and paid social security contributions for at least five of the last ten years. There are some exceptions. For example, if you are under 24, you may not need to have worked during those years.
