Andrew Marsh signs with Michigan Wolverines to “make history”

Andrew Marsh, playmaker for Katy Jordan (Texas), is one of the most electrifying wide receivers of the 2025 class.

The 6’1″ and 175-pound athlete is ranked as the No. 63 national prospect and No. 9 wide receiver and has received more than 30 scholarship offers during his lengthy recruitment process.

On Tuesday, Marsh announced his college commitment: He chose the Michigan Wolverines over fellow finalists Colorado, Texas, USC and Washington.

“I’m going to Michigan,” he said. “It was really everything they have to offer – including what they do off the field. I get a good education and I can win year after year and move up in the league.”

“The story says it all. I’m glad to be part of something, something bigger than myself, and to be part of such a team, such a community and such a school. I hope I can write my own piece of history.”

This decision did not come quickly.

Marsh said it took him several trips to Ann Arbor before he felt Michigan was his next home.

“It took a while,” he said. “I’d been up there many times, throughout my school years. But over time, as I talked to everyone around me, it just felt like home.”

However, Marsh admitted that he was actually personally committed to Michigan during his visit.

“I first told Coach (Sherrone) Moore at dinner,” he said. “(Moore) had told me I had to tell Coach (Ron) Bellamy. He started running around the restaurant giving people high fives.”

And for good reason.

As a junior, Marsh caught 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns, including a historic playoff game in which he caught eight passes for 240 yards and five touchdowns.

With the addition of Marsh, Michigan’s 2025 recruiting class jumps from 14th to 12th, overtaking Texas and Clemson.

This is what 247Sports has to say about Marsh as a young player:

“Explosive, productive receiver with a lean, wiry-strong frame and impressive athletic traits in the high jump, vertical jump and broad jump categories. Frequent big-play dealer, thanks primarily to his slippery strength and athleticism in run-after-the-catch situations. Unorthodox in gait and playstyle, but fights through tackles and maintains balance to gain extra yards despite a slighter frame. Runner with a long stride and some buildup speed. Owns 400-yard times in the low 50.00s entering high school. High jump 6-4 as a junior. Great vertical and broad numbers reflect ability to work on himself in contested scenarios. Above-average route utilization for this stage of development. Finds ways to evade multiple defenders with unique deceleration/acceleration skills combined with balance and body control. Gained over 1,100 yards as a junior and goes with over 2,400 yards entering senior season. Adds value as a potential option on return plays (one punt return TD in 2023). Needs to add some size and strength to maximize the aforementioned RAC play against bigger, stronger, faster P4 defenders. A promising receiver who could develop into an impact player with real long-term potential in the NFL Draft.”
