‘Angry’ Skye Wheatley announces social media break after her TikTok account is suspended

Skye Wheatley has announced she is taking a social media break after being “angry” about her TikTok account being deleted.

The 30-year-old influencer has spent the past two months documenting her attempts to recover her TikTok account after being banned from the platform.

Now she has announced that she is retiring from social media after being “furious” about not being able to get her TikTok up and running again.

The winner of “I’m a Celebrity Australia 2024” announced her break with her 668,000 followers via her Instagram stories on Wednesday.

She wrote: “Hi I haven’t posted on social media in a while, need a break and am absolutely pissed and angry about my TikTok and have a major ‘fuck you’ attitude hehe.”

“I love you all TikTok, you need to work on your shit. I’ve been on Instagram for over 20 years and never had the same problems. But I keep posting the same content. Give it purpose.”

Skye continued to vowed to restore her TikTok as she promised not to give up her fight, although she did not elaborate on the reasons behind the account suspension.

“I will get my account back, but I’m taking a break because I absolutely can’t access it anymore,” she concluded.

The winner of “I’m a Celebrity Australia 2024” announced her break with her 668,000 followers in an “angry” statement in her Instagram stories on Wednesday.

Skye recently had a run-in with a fraudulent account while trying to recover her TikTok account and had to apologize to her followers after the faux pas.

In June, she made a submissive statement after she recommended an account to her fans that was actually a scam account and one of her followers fell victim to the scam.

Skye pleaded with her fans to ignore her recommendation for the account, saying she did not think “rationally” about the post due to her ADHD.

The former Big Brother star shared a screenshot of an account offering engineering services that she claimed scammed her after she tried to get help from the account to recover her deleted TikTok account.

She described her mistake as follows: “I feel really bad right now because I’m going through a shitty time and I’m like, oh my god, I shouldn’t have posted what I posted.”

“But because of my ADHD, I have what my mother calls knee-jerk reactions, so I do things without thinking about them realistically and rationally.”

She claimed that the account was recommended to her by one of her followers, who said he helped her recover her account after she was “banned.”

Skye apologized as she shared a message exchange with a fan who revealed that her boyfriend had fallen victim to the alleged scammer.

“Sorry for posting this guys,” Skye wrote under a screenshot of her exchange with the follower.

She continued, “Now I have to live with that guilt if he took someone else’s money.”

“Damn, I feel sick. I was 100 percent sure he was going to help me. This is a scam, folks, and I paid him $300.”

The internet personality has been involved in numerous alleged scams over the years: earlier this year, she bought fake medical eye drops from a Thai clinic and in 2015, she underwent a botched breast augmentation procedure.
