Dick Wolf‘S FBI has been taking viewers into the risky world of the FBI since 2018 – and season 7 should be at least as exciting.

“I think we’ll delve a little deeper into Maggie’s personal story,” Zeeko Zakiwho plays Omar “OA” Zidan, said The Wrap in May, referring to OA’s FBI partner Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) story arc. “We’ve earned the chance to share our personal lives and show what happens outside of the crimes. Of course, at the beginning of the show you want to focus on the bombshells and the intensity and get people hooked, but I think we have to give the audience what they want and that’s what we want to do as characters and actors.”

Zaki joked that although Peregrym took a break during the first six seasons of the show, he would “never” take a break. “I want to be in every episode,” he confirmed.

FBIwhich was renewed for three more seasons in April, focuses not only on Agents OA and Maggie. The series also features Jeremy Sisto as Jubal Valentine, John Boyd as Stuart Scola, Alana De La Garza as Isobel Castille and Katherine Renee Kane as Tiffany “Tiff” Wallace.

The finale in May finally brought closure to the team after Agent Hobbs’ (Roshawn Franklin) Killer throughout the season. Hobbs was killed by a terrorist named Hakim (Anthony Hopper) while he and Tiff worked undercover.

Guilt-ridden Tiff was the one who killed Hakim, but the shooting caused even more tension in the group. While Maggie thought Hakim had surrendered to Tiff before she shot him, Tiff claimed Hakim had pointed a gun at her. OA eventually found the gun Tiff had seen and cleared her name.

“It’s really taking her back at the moment that her teammates had to question whether or not she acted with integrity,” Kane told The Sun exclusively. Us in May about the embarrassing scene between Tiff and her colleagues. “But I think it’s also an opportunity for her to reflect a little bit on herself, because it’s not completely unjustified.”

In the end, Kane said, Tiff found the closure she needed, which viewers saw when Tiff told Hobbs’ widow that the villain was no longer a threat.

“FBI” gets a new showrunner for season 7

The following month Mike Weiss was tapped to become FBIShowrunner for season 7. Weiss previously worked as co-executive producer on Wolf’s Chicago Police and was most recently showrunner for Peacocks Death and other details.
