Chippewa Luce Mackinac Community Action (CLMCAA) proudly announces the 50th anniversary of its Dial-A-Ride service, one of the oldest public transportation options in Michigan.
Transportation Systems. To commemorate this milestone, Dial-A-Ride is offering fares for just fifty cents from September 1-7, 2024.

“We are honored to have served the community for five decades and look forward to continuing our mission of providing reliable transportation to those who need it most,” said Joe Nolan, executive director of CLMCAA.

Since 1974, Dial-A-Ride has been a lifeline for the community, providing approximately 20,000 rides annually, 80% of which benefit seniors and people with disabilities. This special promotion underscores CLMCAA’s ongoing commitment to accessible and affordable transportation options.

“For fifty years, we have been more than just a ride service – Dial-A-Ride has become a way for our community to connect, share stories and support one another. It’s a joy to not only help our neighbors get around town, but to nurture those relationships while they do what they need to do,” said Troy Earls, Transportation Director at CLMCAA.

Please note that the 50 cent fares are limited to one stamp card (10 rides) per week.
