Dozens of people had to be evacuated to safety after a malfunction left them stranded on a seaside ride.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Services said they had “helped rescue around 25 passengers” from an attraction after it broke down at Skegness Pleasure Beach.
There are no reports of injuries and the attraction’s operator, Bottons, has been contacted for comment.
One boy told the BBC he was stuck for nearly two hours and described the experience as “really scary.”
Shane, who was visiting the resort with his family, was on the attraction when it broke down.
“Basically the cars collided. Then I looked back and got hit. That really hurt,” he said.
“It was really scary.
“Everything was going up and down and then I heard people screaming and saw cars crashing into each other.”
He said that the journey then ended and he had to wait a long time for his rescue. He saw his mother crying beneath him.
Shane said he was relieved it was all over and “glad” to get away.
Emergency services were called to the attraction at 3:30pm (BST).
A fire department spokesman added that the attraction was stuck about four meters above the ground.
It has yet to be confirmed which attraction experienced the outage, but several people, including children, were photographed on the ride.
