MONTGOMERY, Alabama (WSFA) – The Montessori School in Hampstead begins construction on a new campus.

According to officials, the new campus will increase the school’s enrollment by 55%, accommodate students ages 12 months to seven years, and also create more jobs.

The school is currently located in Hampstead Town Centre. It will move to a site near Hampstead Farm, the soccer fields and the tennis and pickleball courts, a one-minute walk from Hampstead homes.

“The proximity to Hampstead Farm and the outdoor facilities will enable our students to extend learning beyond the classroom,” said Headteacher Melanie Morrison. “This expansion is a testament to the strong support we have received from the Hampstead community since our school opened in 2011 and we are excited to be part of this neighborhood for many years to come.”
