For the first time in almost a month, AEW collision had no competition from the Summer Olympics last Saturday night, so it’s no surprise that the August 17 episode posted the series’ best numbers since July 20.
According to Wrestlenomics, the latest collision had 406,000 viewers and a 0.13 rating among 18-49 year olds. Both are up for the second week in a row. Ratings were up nearly 10% from August 10, while the demo version was up just over 18%.
While collision Although the Paris Games weren’t happening, that doesn’t mean there wasn’t competition that night. There were a whole host of NFL prep games going on across the country, and NFL Network’s coverage of those games was the highlight of the night on cable. It was also UFC PPV night, and UFC 305 prelims on ESPN took two spots in the top ten ratings – the primetime block that aired concurrently with primetime. collision took third place with 970,000 viewers and an 18- to 49-year-old rating of 0.42. Among the cable originals collision finished 16th on the day.
This Saturday is AEW’s final push, Everything included with a pre-recorded broadcast from Cardiff, Wales. Football will play a role again, with more NFL preseason action on the schedule as well as the official start of the college season. We will see how collision Fares.
