Dollar General on Highway 31 in Atmore now open

Dollar General announced Tuesday that its store at 11700 Hwy. 31 in Atmore is now open.
The new Atmore location features the company’s new stylish and trendy home decor as well as an expanded selection of party supplies, according to a press release.
Regular store hours can be found in the Dollar General app.
“At Dollar General, we believe that every new store brings positive economic growth to the communities we proudly serve, and the opening of our new store in Atmore underscores our commitment to providing a pleasant shopping experience that includes great prices on quality products in a convenient location,” said Matthew Simonsen, senior vice president of real estate and store development at Dollar General. “We look forward to welcoming customers to our new store and hope they enjoy shopping at our new location.”
To celebrate the opening of DG’s new location, Dollar General plans to donate 100 new books to a nearby elementary school to benefit students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

The opening of the Atmore store opens the opportunity for schools, nonprofits and libraries within 15 miles of the store to apply for Dollar General Literacy Foundation grants.
