Støtte has announced its integration with Norway-based open banking specialist Neonomics to expand its capabilities.
This new feature allows users to make microdonations with every financial transaction. Through this partnership, Neonomics helps Støtte link users’ transactions across different banks, enabling efficient tracking and allocation of purchases to facilitate donations to sports clubs.
Støtte’s goal is to change the way financial aid is provided in the sports sector, mimicking the impact of traditional charitable donations. Supporters can donate a small amount of money with each transaction. These donations are collected throughout the week and then deducted from the supporter’s account to be transferred to the respective sports clubs.
The importance of external support
Støtte representatives stressed the importance of supporting sports and humanitarian organizations to keep their activities going. They also pointed out that Støtte’s platform allows for effortless contributions, ensuring a steady flow of financial aid to these organizations. As for the collaboration with Neonomics to develop this feature, officials expressed excitement about expanding the service through open banking.
Through the partnership with the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee (NIF), Støtte has gained access to a wide network of sports clubs across Norway. This partnership simplifies the registration process for clubs and receiving donations from fans.
Representatives from Neonomics emphasized that this partnership is designed to improve the donation experience for users and strengthen community support in the Norwegian sports and humanitarian sectors. Supporters can donate any amount starting from NOK 2 per transaction. This flexibility allows for small but cumulative donations and provides a steady financial boost to the organizations supported.
