In Chapter 3 of Black Myth: Wukongget to the scary pagoda. This place is scary and there are a lot of people here who want you to open the purple locked cell doors. Here’s how to do it.
How to open the purple prison cells in the pagoda in Black Myth: Wukong
To open the purple doors, you’ll need to find and defeat Captain Lotus Vision, a secret boss hidden in the level. If you do that, you’ll be able to absorb his spirit and the doors will open. This will allow you to go in and talk to the NPC at the start, as well as check all the locked rooms in the pagoda to see what’s inside.
To find Captain Lotus Vision, you’ll need to go through the pagoda, climbing from level to level until you reach the upper pagoda shrine. It’s worth being very thorough when doing this, as there are some secrets and hidden treasures along the way. There’s really only one way forward, and most of the time you’ll just go to the end of a level and then take the ramp up to the next level.
When you get to the upper pagoda shrine, don’t look straight ahead, look behind it. You’ll see a large hole in the ground and the top of a roof. You can drop down there, which will take you to a room where you can fight Captain Lotus Vision.
I’m not even going to pretend that this guy didn’t give me any trouble. The fight is a real hell of a fight in places so be prepared for a lot of jumping and dodging. The ability to freeze him is very strong as you can hold him low to the ground and smash him, and Pluck of Many is also great as you can play a little defensively while keeping the pressure high.
Once you defeat the boss, a golden ghost will appear that you can lure with your pumpkin. This will open all the doors and allow you to exit the arena via a ramp on the left while standing in front of the giant rotating pillar. After that, you can revisit the beginning of the level, talk to the NPC, and pick up a useful item from his cell. The new item is a fresh transformation called the Ashen Slumber.
Talk to the NPC to learn more about him and his problems. He will have some things you can help him with, which will require more captains.
