Love Island USA official account asks fans to be kind ahead of highly anticipated reunion

Love Island USAThe highly anticipated two-part reunion special is set to drop on August 19, and fans are counting down the hours until they can press play.

But ahead of the dramatic reunion, where the fan-favorite islanders will “make their grand entrance” and address issues that have arisen since joining the reality series over the summer, producers left a message for fans of the show.

“Blessings to everyone who joined us in Fiji this summer,” her message began in an Instagram post on August 19. “The season 6 reunion airs tonight on Peacock and we can’t wait to bring our islanders back together.”

The message continued: “The reunion is full of drama, but remember – these are real people, so let’s stay kind and positive. Let’s end the season with the same love and respect we started it with.”

“The cast are all now part of the Love Island USA family and while we love your passion for them, we ask that you please always be kind. Let’s support them and spread love. Enjoy the reunion and we’ll see you next summer in Fiji!”

The Love Island USA The new mental health message comes just six days after the reunion was filmed in Manhattan and season six winners Serena Page and Kordell Beckham, along with contestants Leah Kateb, Miguel Hirachi, JaNa Craig, Kaylor Martin, Olivia Walker and more, met in Chelsea, New York.

Following the finale on July 21 in Fiji, fans saw tensions rise between the ex-islanders as they adjusted to life after the villa and tried to maintain their relationships on the outside. Finalist couples reportedly split up as friendships fell apart, and there were a number of hysterical outbursts on social media to deal with at the reunion. Rumour has it that Martin and Aaron Evans split up during the reunion taping, with the 22-year-old Pittsburgh resident leaving the studio and admitting that she and Evans were “done”.

In addition, some islanders, such as Andrea Carmona, Sierra Mills, Evans and Robert Rausch, were met with hate on the Internet upon their return home and were denounced by Internet sleuths for their televised actions.

Contestant Daniela Ortiz Rivera spoke about the impact of this hate on her fellow cast members in a tearful TikTok video posted after the reunion was filmed. In the emotional video, Rivera, 22, spoke about suicide prevention awareness and admitted that several islanders had spoken about their mental health during the reunion.

She said, “I just want to talk about something really quickly. Please watch.”

“Everything that’s happened during all of this and all the hate that people are receiving breaks my heart so much because at the end of the day, these people are not characters, they’re real people with real feelings,” she continued. “When I hear people, multiple people, tell me that they’re going through this, it breaks my heart. Please be kinder to these people. Everyone goes through so much. Everyone learns from their mistakes every day.”

The Love Island USA Reunion will be released at 9:00 p.m. EST on Peacock.
