GREEN BAY (WLUK) — It’s a tradition steeped in history in Green Bay, but one the Packers would like to share.
The Baltimore Ravens are headed to Titletown this week to practice with the Packers on Thursday. The two teams will then meet for a preseason game at Lambeau Field on Saturday.
Thursday’s 10:30 a.m. practice will be the last public practice for the Packers’ training camp in 2024.
To include Baltimore in one of the NFL’s most beloved traditions, children of all fan bases are encouraged to bring their bikes to Lambeau Field and offer a ride to Packers and Ravens players. The Packers hope there will be enough bikes to give every Ravens player a ride to practice.
Participating children should line up with their bikes near the visitor’s locker room, which is located next to the Invisalign gate on the south end of Lambeau Field off of Valley View Road. Children can line up as early as 8 a.m., but should be there by 9:30 a.m. to allow time for the Ravens to get to practice.
A bike corral will be set up that will lead children and players from the locker room door east through the Lambeau Field parking lot and across Oneida Street. Ravens players will enter the practice field through a gate in the fence surrounding Clarke Hinkle Field.
During practice, kids can park their bikes at the fence at Clarke Hinkle Field and wait for practice to end. Once practice is over, they can offer Ravens players walking through the gate a ride back to the locker room.
To ensure the safety of everyone involved, police will direct traffic on Oneida between Lombardi Avenue and Mike McCarthy Way before and after practice.
Packers players will also continue to ride bikes, with normal DreamDrive operations taking place in front of the Oneida Nation Gate.
Green Bay has hosted several joint training sessions in recent years, with the Packers hosting the Houston Texans, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots in preseason games.
