Representatives of six of the largest unions in the United States were part of the panel of speakers that opened the Democratic Party convention in Chicago on Monday.

Most union leaders spoke about their experiences working with Vice President Kamala Harris and the support their groups have enjoyed during the Biden-Harris administration.

The Democratic National Committee convention is taking place in Chicago until Thursday, and Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to officially accept the party’s nomination for the 2024 election on Thursday.

    • Kenneth W. Cooper, International President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)
    • Claude Cummings Jr., President of the Communications Workers of America (CWA)
